Services Offered
Cornish Cousins is based in West Cornwall and Cornwall is the area in which we specialise. However, if your ancestors lived in other areas we will, of course, do all we can to assist your research. There are a number of projects which we can undertake, and we will look at any project that is related to Family Research, however, the main services are as follows:
FAMILY RESEARCH
This is research undertaken on your instruction to find a particular name or line of ancestor. It is suitable for people who already have information of some family names and dates. This search should enable you to extend the branches on your family tree and we hope to be able to advise on where the family were living and working at that particular time.
This research can be as detailed as you want it to be.
At the end of the research we will forward to you a typed report of our findings and/or a pedigree chart (family tree) of the ancestors found.
FORWARD SEARCHING
Forward searching is finding descendants of common ancestors - so we can try to locate living relatives which you may not realised existed.
FAMILY TREES
This service provides a chart of your family - which more often that not shows the most recent generations. It is a perfect gift idea for that special birthday or anniversary.
You will need to provide us with the names and dates that you want displayed and we will prepare the family tree.
The format is your choice, one ancestral line or and all in one tree showing spouses, siblings and cousins.
FAMILY REUNION GET-TOGETHERS
Great for getting everyone together - but they do need careful organisation.
Have you lost touch with aunts, uncles and cousins? In times where people lead such a busy lifestyle, it seems we haven't got time to visit each other so often and we only usually catch up on sad occasions such as a funeral.
We can arrange a reunion for you - though a great deal of input is required from family members to ensure that everybody is included. We liaise with your family and make all the arrangements, leaving you with more time to enjoy the occasion.
Such an occasion can be a gathering at a small family dinner, a barbeque or a buffet-style get-together. People can bring their old photographs or items of family interest and a photographer can record the occasion for all time.
Bearing in mind the nature of such a project - the Family Reunion Service is designed to be based in Cornwall - however, if a different venue is required, please ring to discuss.
